I just got an exceptional book from Amazon delivered to me. The title is, “Raw in Ten Minutes” by Bryan Au. I’m not a pure raw foodist nor is the menu at our women’s surf camps 100% raw. But I have to tell you…this is making me very excited and inspired. I’ve gone raw a couple of weeks now to try it out and I always feel SO good. I just have to tell everyone about it. I have more energy and feel clearer in the mind after eating raw foods for just a couple of days and my energy has sustained through the couple of weeks. When I found this book, I was excited about the title as I’m not a big fan of spending hours and hours in the kitchen. I would rather be surfing, of course. It’s super easy, even for you non-cooking types (like me). Another added bonus is the author, Bryan Au, is also a surfer and LOVES Hawaii. There are plenty of Hawaiian-type raw food recipes to try out. Check out his website at Raw in Ten. Here is a picture of my very first raw banana creme pie that I just made in, you guested it, ten minutes! I got the recipe from “Raw in Ten Minutes”. I used apple bananas (very, very sweet) from our very own backyard. No agave needed.
