I just did something inspiring that I had to share with all our swellblog readers. Last week I attended a Vision Board Party with 12 incredible ‘Swell Women’ at Jennifer Lynn’s (amazing yoga instructor) home in Kula, Maui. With tag boards, scissors, glue sticks and magazines in hand the 12 of us began creating and sharing our visions for 2010. The reason I want to share this with you? Don’t stop dreaming of the things you would like to see manifest in your life or life on earth or better yet glue those dreams on a poster board that you see everyday. I’m looking at mine now! If you should decide to host a Vision Board Event at your home, please let us know how it goes and send some pictures!
Read More »Although the shore break was a little pounding on Saturday, Jan. 9th, 2010, it didn’t stop the passion of over 300 women paddling for Breast Cancer at the Four Seasons Beach on Maui. Suzie Cooney the brain child of “Stand Up for Women’s Health and Fitness” and her partner Tom Callan, created an event like no other on Maui that included guest speakers, SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding) lessons, gear, hula classes, raffle, group paddle and more. The free event was to promote breast cancer awareness along with the importance of staying fit and healthy. Thanks to Suzie and Tom for doing such an amazing job and putting on a top notch and organized event on Maui. If you would like to make a donation to Breast Cancer awareness, please visit Suzie’s website at http://www.standuppaddlingfitness.com/.
I don’t know how we do it but every year we go to the Billabong Pro my hubby and I always seem to get the best seats in the house. Check out the video I made showing off Honolua Bay and some incredible surfing at the Billabong Pro Surf Event. Enjoy!
Here is a little video I made from a look out spot near our home. It’s the first JAWS session of the winter and it was BIG. Enjoy!

An aerial view of my home town.
Paia is Maui’s north shore old-style plantation town. Sometimes called a “hippy town”, it is in the center of the Windsurfing Capital of the World. It is quaint, colorful, and a part of Maui’s history that is fast disappearing elsewhere. Today it is hosting it’s First Annual Paia Fest with loads of activities for everyone. The first annual Paia Fest is today, June 28, from 12-10pm. Nowhere else can you find a line up of entertainment like the one planned for you by the town of Paia. Over twenty music acts and dozens of local artists and vendors are providing family friendly entertainment that also will benefit the Maui Food Bank, the Dharma Center, Maui Breast Cancer Fund, and Mana’o Radio. Enjoy!

Not feeling Blissed-out? Try a Cartwheel. SwellWomen Guest Sandee Zahn and myself are blissed out.
We had some time to kill at the Maui Film Festival so Sandee (SwellWomen guest extraordinaire) and I decided to entertain the masses by our awesome cartwheels shown here. The lawn at the Maui Film Festival was also a great venue for some yoga practice as well. I love you Sandee…thanks for all the laughs.
