There are so many reasons why I left New York City to live in paradise. Being healthy is one of them. I was please to find out through The Associate Press that Hawaii was ranked second in the nation as the healthiest state to live in. Hawaii’s strengths were low rates of uninsured and preventable hospitalizations, low levels of air pollution (yippee), strong per capita public health funding and low rates of cancer and cardiovascular deaths. Take a guess at who ranked as the number one state? Some of my guests from our April 2008 women’s surf camp live in this state. Can you guess what state it is? Here’s a hint…it’s in the east.

Happy Halloween!

Lahaina is where we are headed tonight. There will be 13 of us and we are doing a group costume. We are all going to be Super Heroes. You can be a Super Hero that is already in existence like Super Man, Iron Man, Spider Man, etc… or make up your own. I’m going to be Super Pink. Everything I touch turns to pink!
