I know…I know…the last two blog entries haven’t been about surfing. I promise they will be soon though! Our retreats are coming up and there will be much surfing to blog about. In the meantime, here is some ‘green’ info to digest. One bag of trash…Can you guess what I’m talking about? My husband and I have been producing only one bag of trash per week for the trash collector to pick up. One bag! Not a full metal trash can full of bags, only one trash bag in the big metal can. It feels really good, really good. How do we do this? We recycle and compost daily. We recycle everything we possibly can and have been composting just over two years now. The compost is used for our garden…it’s a beautiful cycle of nature. Compost your leftovers/trash and ‘wallah’ it grows into nutritious greens to enjoy. Try to limit your household to one bag of trash per week per two people. Experiment and see how it goes.
