Meditation
Meditation is a practice that changes lives both on a physical and mental level. Though it is most often recognized as a spiritual practice, it also has many physical health benefits. These include a lower oxygen usage rate that reduces the amount of circulating free radicals. It helps decrease muscle tension, headaches, and build self confidence. Studies have also shown that regular meditation increases serotonin production, the brain’s happy chemical.
Gentle Exercise and Yoga
Exercise helps bring in fresh oxygen, expel carbon dioxide and promote circulation. Generating heat in the body and promoting sweating helps to get the body expelling wastes through the lungs and skin. Try to get in 20 minutes minimum everyday!
Dry Skin Brushing
Our skin is our largest organ and is considered the second kidney. We need to keep our skin breathing! Dry skin brushing is beneficial because it improves digestion, reduces cellulite, stimulates circulation, increases cell renewal, cleans the lymphatic system, removes dead skin cells, strengthens the immune system and assists the skin in removal of toxins.
